A capable wife

Every Friday evening, after lighting the candles and before the festive family dinner, the husband praises his wife with this poem. The poem is at least 21 centuries old, and is canonized in the Hebrew Bible (Proverbs 31:10-31). This acrostic poem describes an ideal woman, whose physical beauty is irrelevant, but the strength of character, industriousness, independent mind and entrepreneurship are revered.
